1 The Hindu month of Margashirsha has already begun and the day of Saptami Krishna Paksha is to be observed as the first fasting day dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi.
2 This holy month is prominently dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi
3 Lord Krishna had once said that amongst all the months, he is Margashirsha.
4 Lord Krishna delivered the knowledge of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita to the whole mankind in this month.
5 On every Thursday of this month, the devotees observe fasts and conduct Puja to praise Goddess Laxmi.
6 Observing this Vrat is considered highly meritorious and admirable for devotees.
7 It is said that anyone who performs the Margashirsha Laxmi Pooja and Vrat adherently is sure to receive the blessings of peace, prosperity and wealth from the goddess.
